Founded in 1971, the Association for Women in Science (AWIS) is the largest multi-disciplinary organization for women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). We are dedicated to driving excellence in STEM by achieving equity and full participation of women in all disciplines and across all employment sectors.

ABOUT AWIS CENTRAL MA
The AWIS Worcester Affiliate Group was formed in November of 2014 to bring more career development and leadership training opportunities to Central Massachusetts as well as to strengthen local networks and build new ties between the institutions and industries of the greater Worcester area. In July 2016, we became a full chapter: AWIS Central Massachusetts.
